Join us as we enter afresh into the Lord’s Paschal Mystery through our keeping of Lent, Holy Week, and Easter. This is one of the most important periods of the year for any Christian. We prepare in these weeks for our annual commemoration of Christ’s death and Resurrection, when we celebrate the new life Jesus has won for us.
Lent is the period Christians keep in preparation for the celebration of Easter. It is traditionally a time when we make extra time for prayer, reflection, study, works of charity, alms giving, penance, and fasting. Lent begins on Ash Wednesday, 18th February 2015.
All the way through this holy period of preparation St Benet’s offers a number of extra opportunities for prayer and study to help us prepare the Way of the Lord. Details of our Lent discussion group programme can be found here. In addition to our usual round of services, we will pray the Stations of the Cross on the evenings of 20th Feb, 13th March, and 27th March at 7pm.
