Stations of the Cross
7.30 pm each Friday* in Lent, followed by Mass at 8.00 pm.
*with the exception of Friday 16th February.
In the Stations of the Cross, we trace the last hours of Jesus’ life through meditating on a series of 14 moments during his trial and crucifixion. For each of these “stations” we stop to hear a short portion of scripture, and are presented with an image of the event to help us contemplate the agony and the love in Christ’s heart as he approached his death. Our movement around the church from image to image embodies our emotional moving with Christ through his Passion, and our entering into the mystery of our salvation.
