During this time of social distancing and self-isolation brought about as a result of the Coronavirus, St Benet’s will attempt to provide online worship through live-streaming and video recording of the Mass.
Although St Benet’s Church is closed for public worship, the Mass will be offered each day on behalf of our parish by Fr Peter. We hope that by making this celebration available through video recording, people will feel connected to the worship which continues to be offered through this time of difficulty. We hope these recordings will help people to deepen their relationship with Christ through these days of isolation and sickness: through seeing the worship of God offered on our behalf; through hearing God’s Word; and through making an act of spiritual communion, even though we cannot gather in person for worship.
Youtube
Our parish has created a Youtube channel (simply called “St Benet’s, Kentish Town”), available to all, onto which all Mass recordings will be uploaded. It can be found here.
Social media
St Benet’s also has Facebook (“St Benet’s Church, Kentish Town”) and Twitter (@SaintBenets) accounts, which are being updated every day with news, reflections, information, and videos of online worship. Keeping en eye on those channels, “following” us on Twitter and “liking” our Facebook page is a great way to keep in touch with St Benet’s.
Sunday School
The children’s worker of the Parish of Old St Pancras intends to make available online Sunday School resources each week through a video so our children can continue to be catechised and grow in faith. We are grateful to him for allowing us to share these resources. These will be uploaded to social media and will be emailed out as they become available.
