Increased Christmas Attendance 2014

December 26, 2014 by Guy Willis

A big thank to everyone who contributed to our Christmas celebrations at St Benet’s.

Thanks to those who delivered leaflets; to all who served refreshments after the various services; to those who prepared and cleaned our church; to our churchwardens, pastoral assistant, children’s worker, and organist who did so much to prepare for our liturgies; to Vicki for preparing flowers; to the staff and children of our school for all they did to rehearse for our carol services and to decorate St Benet’s Church.

All our parishioners’ hard work has allowed God to prompt an increase in attendance at every single Christmas liturgy on last year. By God’s grace, we were able to proclaim the Good News of the Saviour’s birth to more people than ever this year.

Attendance 2013: Total School Carol Services 514; Crib Service, 53; Midnight Mass 47; Christmas Day Mass 30.

Attendance 2014: Total School Carol Services 602; Crib Service 91; Midnight Mass 50; Christmas Day Mass 38.

A total of 135 more people than last year attended our Christmas liturgies.
