I wish you all a very happy Christmas and pray that the New Year 2021 will bring more happiness and peace than the last year has for many of us!
Just a few pieces of information for the first few weeks of 2020. I shall be off on annual leave for the first two Sundays of January. During that time, there will be no weekday services until Tuesday 19th Jan. There will also only be one Sunday Mass, at 11.00 am each Sunday morning, and no broadcast recording of the liturgy on Youtube.
Whilst we are in Tier 4, public worship continues to be permitted as long as strict COVID regulations are observed. We have all got used to worshipping with social distancing, a mask, and without congregational singing, and I am very grateful to you all for so patiently ensuring our church remains a safe place to worship.
Please note that the Tier 4 restrictions mean there can be no Sunday School for the next few weeks. Until now we have had outdoor activities for our children during the Mass, but even that has to stop now that the virus is spreading more quickly than before.
If you have children, they will have to remain with you during the 11.00 am service, and it is crucial that they do not run around the building, and that you keep them physically close to you at all times. Once Tier 4 restrictions are lifted, we will return to having the modest Sunday School provision we have had this Autumn, largely based on outdoor activities and with a cap of 15 children.
