Parish News: The Twenty-Sixth Sunday and Week of the Year

September 23, 2022 by Guy Willis

In the story of the rich man and Lazarus, Jesus explains to Pharisees how we can be blind to the needs of our neighour. He reminds them that the comforts and pleasures of the world are only for the here and now, but what is to come will last forever. We are challenged to consider if we too are blinded by what we have to those around us.

You can read the scriptures for this week here.

Please pray for:
The sick and those in need
Conor, Chinye, Adelida, Jason, Rod, Edny, John & Yen.

The Faithful departed
All who have worshipped in and served at Saint Benet’s and those whose year’s mind falls this week.
