Saint John the Baptist goes out to the wilderness and calls the people to repentance to prepare them for the coming of Jesus Christ. So we too each Advent are called to the same examination of ourselves so that we can be ready for the coming of the Lord. Please pray for: On Thursday 8th at 7.30pm come to Saint Silas for a Solemn Mass to celebrate the Immaculate Conception. Followed by refreshments. The Advent appeal is to support the local Saint Vincent de Paul charity who will help very needy families in our area with food vouchers for Christmas. We have already collected £334 as a share of the surplus generated by the wine tasting. Let’s see if we can get to £500!
