Jesus assures us that if we declare ourselves for him, he will declare himself for us. It is easy to stand up for Jesus when we are worshipping together in church, but of course it gets harder when we face hostility. Many of our brothers and sisters throughout the world face even today face violent persecution for being children of Christ. Their example encourages us to stand with them and declare ourselves for Him.
