Many congratulations to everyone who completed our sponsored walk pilgrimage to Westminster Abbey for the feast of St Edward the Confessor on Saturday 15th October 2017. We set off on foot at 11.30 am from St Benet’s Church in Kentish Town and arrived at Westminster Abbey at 2.40 pm, just in time for Evensong. Many thanks to the Dean and Chapter of the Abbey for such a wonderful festive liturgy upon our arrival. After Evensong, we treated ourselves to a well-deserved cream tea in the Abbey tea room. We await the final figure which has been raised by sponsorship, but when it is known, it will be divided between St Benet’s Church funds and our homeless charity C4WS.
