Parish News: 30th Sunday and Week of the Year

October 22, 2021 by Guy Willis

This Sunday is the 30th of the year. Jesus heals the blind beggar Bartimeaus, who calls out to God for mercy despite the crowd who try to stop him. ‘Your faith has saved you’ – so we ask for an increase in our faith, hope and charity. You can read the scriptures for this week here.

To help us get used to singing the responses at Mass again, Conor, our director of music will be holding a short practice after coffee this Sunday. All very welcome.

Tuesday November 2nd is All Souls day when we pray for all who have died.
Mass at 8.30am and an further Mass at 12 noon. Sung Mass at St Silas NW5 3QP at 7:30pm. If you would like the name of a loved one placed in a book of remembrance on the altar, please let me know their name or add them to the list at the back of church.

We are invited by Father Houlding to All Hallows, Gospel Oak NW3 2JP on Sun 7th Nov at 5pm for their Patronal Evensong and Benediction. Music by Wood, Bainton and Dupré. A lavish buffet follows!
