This Sunday falls within the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity, a week in which we focus on the fact that all Christians are one in Christ, despite the divisions that exist between particular churches. The Church will be seen to be united at the end of time when Jesus comes again; until that time it is up to us to work and pray for the unity of his Church on earth.
You can read the scripture readings for this Sunday here.
Sunday school is now held every week – we could still do with one or two more volunteers:
St Benet’s Sunday school are looking for some helpers. Could you volunteer to support a Sunday school session, running alongside the 11am Sunday Mass, once every 6 weeks? No previous experience required – the session would be planned and lead by a Sunday school teacher, your role would be to support with this (for example helping children with a related craft activity / help tidying up etc). We will organise a DBS check through the church for volunteers.
Please contact Sarah sarahjmiller@hotmail.com if you are interested.
