Parish News: 4th Sunday and Week of the Year

January 28, 2022 by Guy Willis

Jesus says something so shocking that the people run him out of town and try to kill him. What enrages them? They think they are alone worthy of God’s attention, but he reminds them that he has often favoured the outsider.

Please note different mass times during this week.

You can read the scripture readings for this Sunday here.

Sunday school is now held every week.

This Sunday evening we are invited to All Hallows Gospel Oak to join them for an anticipated choral mass of the Presentation of Our Lord in the Temple (Candlemas) with the blessing of candles. 5pm, Savernake Rd, NW3 2JP.

Walsingham Pilgrimage 2022 – Friday 10th – Sunday 12th June joint with the Parish of Old Saint Pancras. Booking forms are available from Father Guy – there are limited places so do act quickly if you would like to come.

The cover art this week is The Presentation of Christ in the Temple circa 1435 by Giovanni di Paolo di Grazia. Held at The Met Fifth Avenue, New York.

The cover art this week is Jesus Unrolls the Book in the Synagogue (Jésus dans la synagogue déroule le livre) painted in France between 1886-1894 by James Tissot. Held in the Brooklyn Museum, USA.
