Parish News: Corpus Christi and Twelfth Week of the Year

June 17, 2022 by Guy Willis

Corpus Christi means Body of Christ, and in the feast we celebrate this Sunday we give thanks for the miracle of the Holy Eucharist. In each mass Jesus makes himself really present to us under the forms of bread and wine so that we can have Holy Communion with our God by receiving the Sacrament. In thanksgiving for this wonderful mystery, at the end of mass this week we will adore the Lord under the form of bread placed in the monstrance, carry Him in solemn procession around the church and receive a blessing in Benediction.

You can read the scripture readings for this Sunday here.

Please pray for:
The sick and those in need
Conor, Chinye, Adelida, Jason, Rod, Edny & John.
