Parish News: The Twenty-Seventh Sunday and Week of the Year

September 30, 2022 by Guy Willis

With even a little faith in God, we have great power to do his work, to do good. But with that great gift comes responsibility. We have a duty to share that gift with others and seek to serve the Lord in all we do. And so we must ask ourselves: how will I do that today?

You can read the scriptures for this week here.

Please pray for:
The sick and those in need
Conor, Chinye, Adelida, Jason, Rod Edny, John,Yen & John.

The Faithful departed
All who have worshipped in and served at Saint Benet’s and those whose year’s mind falls this week.

The cover art is Christ tells an apostle how a mustard seed grows into a tree an etching from the Wellcome Collection, No. 23951i.

The Harvest Barn Dance is a week today on Friday 7th October, 6.45 to 10pm. £5 per adult, £2.50 per child. See Ernest after mass on Sunday to pay by cash or card or buy online: bit.ly/BarnDance22

C4WS Winter Night Shelter a project hosted in local churches helping homeless people to get back on their feet. Speak to or email Ernest to find out more about volunteering this winter.
