Parish News: The Sixth Sunday and Week of the Year

Many people are familiar with that basic moral code of the Law of Moses: the Ten Commandments. In this Sunday’s Gospel Jesus takes some of these as a starting point, and helps us to see how, with God’s grace, we can live them fully.

Lent Programme 2023

Ash Wednesday – 22nd February
This is a day when all Christians should attend church if at all possible. Said Mass with Ashing at 8.30am, Sung Mass with Ashing at 7pm (Jean Langlais, Missa Simplicitate). 

Stations of the Cross – Fridays
Every Friday in Lent at 6.30pm for 30 minutes, beginning on the 24th of February. In this short devotion we follow Jesus to the Cross and learn to let him bear our sufferings.

Lent Learning Course – Mondays
Join us at 7pm for one hour each Monday in Lent, beginning on the 27th of February after the 6.30pm Mass. We will be learning about the concept of covenant and how it can help us navigate the Bible and can help us see God’s plan through the Old Testament.
 

The annual parish pilgrimage to the Shrine of Our Lady of Walsingham will take place from Friday 16th to Sunday 18th June 2023. Once again we will be joining with our friends in the Parish of Old St Pancras for this. For more details or for a booking form, speak to Father Guy.
