Parish News: The 19th Sunday and Week of the Year

Peter walking on water is an archetypal ‘act of faith’ – but it is not just a party trick. Through this moment Jesus teaches the importance of believing in him. He also shows us that when we try to rely on ourselves alone we will fail but, if instead we rely on God, the extraordinary will be possible.

Weekday masses resume on Tuesday 29th August. Mass and Sunday School every week at 11am as usual.

The Faithful departed
The recently departed. All who have worshipped in and served at Saint Benet’s and those whose year’s mind falls about this time.

We are invited to join Father Peter, former vicar of this parish, and the people of All Saints Margaret Street to celebrate the Assumption. 6pm Sunday 13th August, Solemn Evensong and Procession of the Blessed Sacrament; 6.30pm Tuesday 15th August, High Mass.
