When Jesus chooses not to heal in his home town because of their lack of faith, it shows us that healing in a more general sense only comes from our relationship with God. To have that relationship we need to believe in the one whom he sent to be born, die and rise for us – Jesus Christ. You can find the readings for this coming Sunday here. Sunday 14th July 11am: Pontifical Mass of St Benedict with Baptism and Confirmation. Preacher: Jonathan our Bishop. Followed by bring and share parish party with bouncy castle. Patronal Festival: can you help? Donations to defray festival expenses would be very welcome. Could you give £10 towards the £95 cost of the bouncy castle? Could you give £100 towards the £1000 cost of the music over the festival? The cover art this week is Jesus is rejected in his home-town by Jerome Nadal SJ from his book Evangelicae Historiae Imagines (Illustrations of the Gospel Stories), 1593. |
