Parish News: The feast of the Holy Family and week before Epiphany

December 27, 2024 by Guy Willis

On this Sunday within the Octave of Christmas, we meditate on the example of love shown to us by the Holy Family of Mary, Jesus and Joseph. They faced the unexpected, persecution and the unknown with faith, hope and love; we ask that we may be able to do the same.

St Benet’s is self supporting: we receive no regular central church or government funding, so you can donate using card online to support St Benet’s: and every penny really does count! You can also donate by cash or card in person, by texting BENET followed by your donation amount to 70450 to give that amount. Or why not set up a regular standing order with your bank?

The readings for this Sunday are available here.

A very happy Christmas to you all and thank you to all who gave gifts and cards!

Please pray for:
The sick and those in need
Brenda, Reece, Victoria, John, Chinye, Yvonna and Margaret.

The faithful departed
All who have worshipped in and served at Saint Benet’s, the recently departed and those whose year’s mind falls about this time, amongst them Katherine Vialls (30th) and Violet Farrer (2nd).
