Jesus is baptised, not because like us he needs to be, but to show who he is – God’s own Son and very self. By being baptised he makes it a holy thing for us that joins us to him for ever, and each day the church is growing as more people become members of his Body through Holy Baptism. The readings for this Sunday are available here.
