We all have difficulties and challenges in our lives, big or small: those our crosses to bear, and we don’t have a great deal of choice about it. What Jesus invites us to do is to bear our own cross and follow him. In doing so, our suffering, like his, can – apparently paradoxically – become redemptive. The readings for this coming Sunday are available here. Please pray for: Dates for your diary: Monday 8th September, 7pm: St Mary Brookfield, NW5 1SL. Solemn Mass for the Birthday of the Blessed Virgin Mary followed by supper. Friday 3rd October, 6.45-10pm: Harvest Barn Dance, here at St Benet’s. Pro band & caller; Free nibbles; Bar; All star raffle. £6 adult, £3 child. Book at https://tickets.myiknowchurch. |
