Parish News: All Saints

October 31, 2025 by Guy Willis

The festival of All Saints honours the men and women who now rejoice for ever in heaven – our true home in which we all one day hope to be. Some are known by name to the Church on earth, others or not; in this celebration we venerate them all. These citizens of the heavenly Jerusalem pray for us as we continue in our earthly journey and they show us the way to God.

St Benet’s is self supporting: we receive no regular central church or government funding, so you can donate using card online to support St Benet’s: and every penny really does count! You can also donate by cash or card in person, by texting BENET followed by your donation amount to 70450 to give that amount. Or why not set up a regular standing order with your bank?

The readings for this Sunday are available here.

Please pray for:
The sick and those in need
Brenda, Reece, John, Chinye, Cheryl, Ann, Mana, Chika, Alessandro, Sonny, Jan, Danielle and Grace.
The Faithful departed
All who have worshipped and served here, those who have died recently and those whose year’s mind falls about this time, amongst them Jane Elizabeth Roberts, Gerald Robinson, Desmond Shrewsbury, Priscilla Walden, Friederike Haberstroh (2nd), Jacques Dagnaud (3rd), Caroline Semple, Hilda Mack (4th), Kenneth Edwards (7th), Mary Lawson (8th).

This Sunday 2nd November at 5pm we are invited to All Hallows Gospel Oak NW3 2JP for their patronal festival. Missa Brevis in F by Mozart. Preacher: Fr Philip Barnes SSC. Mass will be followed by drinks and a buffet supper.
