Parish News: Pentecost

At Pentecost, 50 days after Easter, the disciples receive the Holy Spirit and suddenly they are able to speak in many languages. When human pride built the Tower of Babel the result was mutual incomprehension; with the coming of the Holy Spirit the universal reign of Jesus Christ is proclaimed to all.

St Benet’s is self supporting: we receive no regular central church or government funding, so you can donate using card online to support St Benet’s: and every penny really does count! You can also donate by cash or card in person, by texting BENET followed by your donation amount to 70450 to give that amount. Father Georges Iskandar is to be ordained  to the sacred Priesthood by our bishop Jonathan at 5pm on Sunday 28th June at Saint Andrew Holborn, EC4A 3AF. He will celebrate a Solemn Mass of Thanksgiving on Monday 29th June at 7pm here at St Benets. Please pray for him now as he prepares and put theses dates in you diary.

On Sunday 5th July at 11am Jonathan our bishop will be here on the Sunday of St Benedict; mass will be followed by a party and a bring and share lunch.
