23rd August 2015: 11am Sung Mass and Children’s Sunday School
Join us as we celebrate our Sunday Mass together at 11 am on Sunday 23rd August. As always, there will be Sunday School provision for children of nursery age and above. This week, our children will be preparing for their summer Holiday Club, which will take place on Thursday 27th and Friday 28th August. This is a venture we are entering into jointly with our neighbouring parish St Luke’s, Osney Crescent. The activities on Thursday 27th (9 am-2 pm) will take place here at St Benet’s, and those on Friday 28th (9 am-2 pm) will be at St Luke’s. To celebrate the club, we will be having a special children’s Mass next Sunday 30th August at 11am. On 30th, there will be no Sunday School at all, and all our children will remain in church throughout the whole of the liturgy. The service will be simpler and shorter than usual.

Summer liturgical arrangements
During the month of August, whilst many people are away on holiday and there is no pastoral assistant in our parish, we will run a reduced summer service schedule. This week, the Saturday, Wednesday, and Friday Masses, along with Holy Hour, and Rosary, will not take place. In addition, on the advice of his doctor, Fr Peter will not preach a sermon at the Sunday Mass until Sunday 13th September. He has been experiencing throat and voice problems which are being investigated.
Catechesis 2015
Be in touch with Fr Peter if you would like to be baptized or confirmed. Our catechesis course of preparation runs from
September 2015 until March 2016 and is available to all who wish to deepen their understanding of the Christian faith.
