Parish News: Twenty Seventh Sunday and Week of the Year

October 4, 2024 by Guy Willis

By saying that we should welcome the kingdom of God like a little child, Jesus is reminding us that a simple faith and trust in him is the deepest kind. It shows us that knowlege of God is first and above all about a relationship; only on that foundation do the truths of the Christian faith have real meaning for us.

St Benet’s is self supporting: we receive no central church or government funding, so you can donate using card online to support St Benet’s: and every penny really does count! You can also donate by cash or card in person, by texting BENET followed by your donation amount to 70450 to give that amount. Or why not set up a regular standing order with your bank?

You can find the readings for this coming Sunday here.

Please pray for:
The sick and those in need

Brenda, Cordelia, Lolita, Reece, Vanessa, John and Chinye.
The Faithful departed
All who have worshipped in and served at Saint Benet’s, the recently departed and those whose year’s mind falls this week.
