Parish News: The Twenty-Eighth Sunday and Week of the Year

October 7, 2022 by Guy Willis

Healings from leprosy, a disease of the skin, are mentioned in two of our readings today. Faith in God is central. It prompts us to think about the spiritual things that might disfigure us and in what ways we might seek God’s merciful healing touch.

You can read the scriptures for this week here.

Please pray for:
The sick and those in need
Conor, Chinye, Adelida, Jason, Rod, Edny, John, Yen & John.

The Faithful departed
All who have worshipped in and served at Saint Benet’s and those whose year’s mind falls this week.

Note changes to the usual mass times during this week.

Jonathan our Bishop is visiting to celebrate the mass and the sacraments of baptism and confirmation on Sunday 23rd October, 11am. Please pray for our candidates for baptism and confirmation and make every effort to be at mass to support them!
