Parish News: Sunday of St Benet and the Fifteenth Week of the Year

July 19, 2024 by Guy Willis

Many people seem lost, wandering through life. They are, as Jesus says in this Sunday’s Gospel, ‘like sheep without a shepherd.’ Many people and things look for our allegiance, but their true interest is only themselves: it is only God in Jesus Christ who really cares for his flock and has our eternal best interests at heart.

You can donate using card online to support St Benet’s: every penny counts! You can also donate by cash or card in person, by texting BENET followed by your donation amount to 70450 to give that amount. Or why not set up a regular standing order with your bank?

You can find the readings for this coming Sunday here.

Please pray for:
The sick and those in need

Brenda, Cordelia, Lolita, Reece, Vanessa, John and Hugh.
The Faithful departed
All who have worshipped in and served at Saint Benet’s, the recently departed and those whose year’s mind falls this week, amonst them Alfred Farrer (21st).
Our candidates for baptism and confirmation; those recently ordained priest and deacon.
