Parish News: SS Peter and Paul and the 13th Week of the Year

This Sunday we keep the feast of Saints Peter and Paul; we also welcome Father Georges, following his ordination as deacon, to be assistant curate of the parish. Jesus Christ founded the church by commissioning the Twelve Apostles, led by St Peter. The bishops of the church are the successors of those first apostles and guarantee the sacraments and teaching of the true faith. They ordain deacons and priests to serve Christ’s people.

St Benet’s is self supporting: we receive no regular central church or government funding, so you can donate using card online to support St Benet’s: and every penny really does count! You can also donate by cash or card in person, by texting BENET followed by your donation amount to 70450 to give that amount. Patronal Festival of St Benedict
Each year we give thanks to God for our heavenly patron, Saint Benedict. 
Sunday 6th July 
11am Pontifical Solemn Mass with Confirmation for the Sunday of St Benedict. Followed by a parish party with a bring and share lunch.
Thursday 10th July
7pm Solemn Mass with Procession of the Relic for the Vigil of Saint Benedict. Preacher – Father James Elston SSC. Followed by drinks.
