Parish News: The 23rd Sunday and Week of the Year

September 8, 2023 by Guy Willis

In a world of personal choices, its easy to see faith as just another individual preference. But the sayings of Jesus that we hear this Sunday all emphasise the importance of the community of faith. Salvation is not merely personal but something that we receive as the Church, that great body of believers connected accross time and space.

You can donate using card online to support St Benet’s: every penny counts! You can also donate by cash or card in person, by texting BENET followed by your donation amount to 70450 to give that amount. Or why not set up a regular standing order with your bank?

Please pray for:
The sick and those in need
Brenda, Conor, Chinye, Victor, Mercy, Olga, John, Isaac, Cordelia and Lotlia.
The Faithful departed
The recently departed, amongst them Edith Biziringi and Gerhard Bartz. All who have worshipped in and served at Saint Benet’s and those whose year’s mind falls about this time.
